3 memorable dates...

It’s day 28 of my 60 days series. I am sharing another excerpt from my story.

“Fall 2019 

This year was different. It was the year I slept late the most. Checking emails. Sending reminders to professors. I would pray for data to use the internet. I would pray for electricity to be able to work on my applications. I made good progress. We always had arguments about my going abroad. It was not something that he was comfortable with. He would tell me kings, do not relocate from their kingdoms. I wanted to live abroad. It was one of my dreams as a child. To live and study abroad was my dream. It was a dream I could not let go off. 

After rejections and several uncompleted applications, because I could not pay application fees, I was finally accepted at a school with an application fee waiver program. This was my life-saver.  The University of Alabama also offered me funding to attend graduate school here in America.  I had now got a fully-funded scholarship, but I had a different problem to deal with. It was to get his consent to travel. He gave me two difficult options to choose from. One was to leave with the children, and the other was that if I chose to leave alone, he was going to marry someone else.  I was worried. Worried that he would act out his threat. My challenge was different.”

For the next 21 days, I decided to switch things up.

I will be going live daily.

Especially on Youtube, Podcast and Instagram. I plan to go live at 9am my time everyday. 3pm Nigerian time.

My goal is to tell you the back story, to my coming out story, and teach some life lessons for 21 days.

I will also teach for the next 21 days about Narcissistic Abuse and the red flags.

The last few days will usher us into my birthday party and book launch.
