HOW TO MAKE PLENTY MONEY FROM WHAT YOU KNOW
You don't need a new degree, or get scrum master, or any of those things...
HOW TO MAKE PLENTY MONEY FROM WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW
No college degree, scrum master certification, or PHD required.
This series will blow your mind, so follow me...
It is 1:44pm Chicago time, as I write this post, and I am angry...
Why do I feel so angry? I am angry because some of my friends work 2-3 jobs, some are taking a scrum master program now, some are hoping a PHD will make them more money.
Don't get me wrong, I am a serial academic- I have three degrees, to my name, and also on the path to a JD/PHD. But what is the point?
You are hired for a job, because of what you know, or the skills you have or the degree you have. The degree gave you knowledge, in exchange for the years you spent in college, grad school or doing a post doc.
What if you decide to not work for anyone again, and simply create a business model from what you already know?
Let me explain.
You are a #lawyer (#divorce #attorney or #entertainment #lawyer)
You are a #doctor
You are a #personal #fitness #trainer
You are a #writer
You are a #social #manager
You work at #Starbucks
You work for #Amazon
You work for #Ubereats
You work for #Lyft.
All these jobs, simply means that your "time is what allows you to get paid".
What if I tell you that you can multiply your presence, without working for one employer, yet, you still touch lives and make plenty money.
How do you do that? By making that knowledge that only one employer is paying for, accessible to many more people.
Many people have lived experiences that are worth monetizing, but many people need to know what to sell.
I will tell you my story. I have always enjoyed writing about social issues- and people really love my writing. In fact, some people would tell me how my stories inspired them to become better. Now, here is the thing about telling stories that only inspire- people will never buy!
How do you choose what to sell?
You can sell anything. A valuable product or service is not as crucial as creating systems to sell those products and services.
So, the question is not to worry about what to sell but to first believe that you have been chosen to solve that problem- and that you will do everything possible to find the people who need that solution.
To increase your understanding, here are five reasons you should consider monetizing your knowledge or expertise.
Are you looking for those five reasons?
Haha, I will see you in the next article in this series...
