Have you heard about the Placebo Effect?
Let me tell you a story that can help you understand...
When I was a child, every time I was sick, my mom would tell me that if I go to bed on time, take my medicines, that I would feel okay. I believed her every time. It was not really the medicines or the injections that made all the difference- it was how those words from her affected my brain, and how that affected my body.
Think of the placebo effect, as a self-fulfilling prophecy or faith in something.
It is the idea that if you say something to yourself repeatedly and over time, it becomes your reality.
The placebo is the idea that your brain is taught to believe something, and this belief influences how your body responds.
When I started working out, I didn’t know how fast I could move, or if I would ever get used to this routine.
I developed #stamina for a physically #fit #lifestyle, by creating a feeling and mental picture.
I pictured the #exercise as some medicine that I have to take to make me feel better, and as long as I looked forward to that feeling, I could not see myself stopping.
Everyone needs a placebo effect or some kind of #mind #reprogramming, to achieve any goal.
Every time you set a goal, and you approach it with the belief that it is achievable, you no longer focus on the obstacles on your way.
You focus on what can become right?
That is exactly what the placebo effect is about.
You can transform your health. You can do anything, as long as you believe it is possible.
It's another day to take your health seriously and feel good while doing so.
