Have you ever wondered why you wake up at a certain time?
Or why you do a certain thing at a certain time?
Or why you place certain things in your home, at certain places?
Have you thought about it?
Have you considered why these things happen?
I will tell you:
You are operating on auto-pilot.
You have done these things repeatedly, so they have become a part of you.
If you didn’t realize, the first time to set that alarm, you woke up. But the second day, third day, you struggled, but with time, you got used to doing these things.
Let me take this further: you know why you woke up early, despite failing severally; it was the emotions.
What do I mean: the next time you went to bed, you thought about the pain of losing your job or your child not getting to school early, and that motivator helps you pick yourself up every time.
Over time, you get used to the habit, and for every habit, once gained, it becomes a part of you.
This is the mindset you should carry when exercising.
This is the mindset you need to carry to commit to working out.
Later today, I will share three things I do to keep me motivated to work out.
I am writing a book, Workout from Depression, which is currently on pre-order. Get the book on our website.
