HOW TO WORKOUT FROM DEPRESSION PART 4.
Try these five things, and in 30 days you will begin to see changes in your body...
How are you doing today? Respond, cos I will read it.
Yesterday, I attended two events at the University of Chicago. One was a business owners workshop. The other was an international students orientation mixer.
Before these two events, I did a few things.
I planned what to wear (I wanted just one outfit for both events).
I also made sure to add these events to my calendar- plenty things are on my head lol, so I don’t forget.
So, let me give you the gist from the business meeting. There was the cofounder of Anthos Personal Trainings and Clubs, Shaka.
He shared lessons about their business journey, and also the decisions they have had to make along the way.
So, what exactly is my point today?
My exact point is that everything in life takes planning, and there is actually nothing to plan, without decision making.
In the past days, I have been sharing about working out from depression. Choosing healthier alternatives for your health, is a choice, and that choice could mean that you make some new decisions or plans.
Here are 3 decisions you can make/plan to make right now.
1. Routine
You create a routine; when you create a set of activities and repeat them daily, the body gets used to it, and it begins to operate on autopilot. Think about when you started to learn how to drive: it was like watching a baby take her first step, but over time, it became easy. That is what starting a new routine feels like. A routine such as exercising would require daily repetition before it becomes something you are used to.
2. Boundaries
Boundaries will you stay committed to any goal in life. When you begin to take care of your health intentionally, you will need to set boundaries. Such boundaries include controlling what you eat, and what time you sleep, among other things. I noticed that my business phone usually distracts me, so, when I am working out or making food for myself, I try to turn it off. Sometimes, I get carried away.
But this is my point, if you must get anything done, including taking care of your health, you need to set boundaries.
Get the sleep you need.
Keep your phone away to help you focus on other things.
These are simple yet effective ways to change your life. One habit at a time!
3. Take Breaks
Sometimes, living a goal-centered life can be exhausting, and so is a life of routine. When I realized going to the gym daily was becoming exhausting, I switched things up, by taking walks, and at other times, I just do my dance exercises indoor. If you feel exhausted, break your routine, and when you return, you are reenergized to continue.
Something else that I find helpful, is to do a combination of exercise activities. For instance, when I use the gym, I don’t lift weights daily. I do on some days, but on other days, I do something else.
These are some of the things that work for me.
Will you try them?
I am on WhatsApp, and you can connect with me there.
Also, I recommend the following videos on our YouTube channel, in case you are looking for more knowledge or tips for your health/fitness journey.

It will only cost a dollar each month!
Yes, only one dollar to join that community.
I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with a closed community of people on a monthly basis.
But is this something you would like?
Take the survey (I will not see your name, so express yourself lol).
