In this video, I explained what a Why is.
See video here:
Without a why, nothing else is ever going to matter. I had a very deep motivation to relocate abroad. That motivation became my why.
That I understood what my why was, became the first step I had to take to relocate abroad.
For context, I was married for over 10 years. And as a married woman, your options are often limited, and so is your ability to even achieve your goals.
In my case, I had two boys already, and they brought great energy into my life and space.
I didn’t have many personal goals to set for myself, because I didn’t know where to begin.
But something changed… Over the years, I realized that my marriage was mostly toxic and I wanted out. I didn’t have many options in Nigeria, because I didn’t even study a course with lucrative job options-Classics- in Nigeria.
So, I identified a strong motivation for relocating abroad.
Do you know what makes a W.H.Y now?
Mine: It was the fact that I wanted to leave a toxic relationship and give myself the opportunities that my first degree may not give me in Nigeria.
What’s yours?
Your W.H.Y is what propels you. You can call it the strong emotion that keeps you going. You can call it your pain. You can call it a feeling. But it definitely is a soul, and it is what keeps you alive, helps you dare to become.
Do you know your why?
W.H.Y do you want to go study abroad?

It was easy to relocate abroad because of this.
